Using the Adaptec Flash Utility
Default Switch Values
If you do not include the /C switch, the AFU returns a fatal
error message.
If you do not include the /D switch, the AFU creates the UFI
file in the current default drive and directory.
Examples
A:\> AFU SAVE /C 0
The AFU saves flash contents from controller 0 to a UFI file
in the current default drive and directory.
A:\> AFU SAVE /C 1 /D C:\UFI_FILES
The AFU saves flash contents from controller 1 to a UFI file
in the directory C:\UFI_FILES .
UPDATE
The UPDATE command updates a controller’s flash
components from the flash image data in a UFI file. You can
use the UPDATE command to update a single controller’s flash
components or to update multiple controllers on your system.
You must reset your system or issue a RESET command
following an UPDATE command because this command
effectively shuts down the controller’s kernel.
Default Switch Values
If you do not include the /C switch, the AFU returns a fatal
error message.
If you do not include the /D switch, the AFU looks for its UFI
files in the current default drive and directory.
