CLI Features
To use the CLI efficiently, you need to understand the following
features:
■ Case sensitivity—CLI syntax elements are not case-sensitive
except for strings.
■ Command abbreviations—You can abbreviate commands,
subcommands, and switches. You must provide enough
characters so the commands are not ambiguous.
■ Subcommand Mode—Subcommand mode simplifies
command entry when you are performing repetitive
commands on the same item. Subcommand mode works only
for commands that have one or more subcommands.
